2016 Panama Canal Cruise: 1

After a long set of flights we arrived in Los Angeles at 9:30am and were at our Best Western San Pedro hotel at 11:00. They checked us into our pool side room immediately. I headed out and got Mom a rollator, she rested.

California sunny skies were not with us. It spotted rain over the next 24 hours till time to board Island Princess on April 8. Easy and fast boarding procedures. A spot of lunch and then hung out waiting departure. Supposed to be 4:00pm but it took another 45 minutes for supplies loading to complete.
Ruby Princess only managed to head out a few minutes before us (heading to an all Mexico cruise)

Days 2 and 3
At sea. Explored the ship and got some exercise in. Mom hooked up with knitters and crafters. Both of us took it easy and got rid of remaining jet lag. We also got to know our dinner table mates: a pair of fellow Victorians, and 2 pair of Kiwis.
